~TRIP TO VIRGINIA~

OK, once again time has been slipping away from me and I can't believe how long it has been since I have made a post. I just hope that life slows down soon! Well over Easter we had the chance to fly out to Virginia to spend a few days with the Turners (Tim's sister's family). We had SUCH a great time. I didn't really realize how much I had missed them until we saw them. The kids have changed so much. They are growing up and are all such good kids. We were really impressed with all of them! Colin is so mature he played and watched out for Peyton the entire time we were there. The first few nights we were there all of the kids got sleeping bags and they all had a big slumber party. The only decision was who got to sleep on both sides of Peyton and who had to sleep at his head......they were all so anxious to sleep by him it was so cute. Peyton as you can imagine didn't know what to do with all of the attention. He was in heaven the entire time. He followed those boys around like puppy dogs the whole time. Mr. Liam is quite the chess player, he played Tim a few times and beat him once or twice. He also played me a few times....according to him the time I won he let me. He wasn't playing his best. He is quite the little competitor, he sure does have A LOT in common with his uncle Tim!

Now to the girls.......they are so cute, we just wanted to put them in our suitcases and bring them home with us (no we would have had to have brought them all)! They were so good with Addison, they just wanted to be by her side and help me with everything I was doing with her, from changing diapers, to giving her a bath, to feeding her. They are such good little mothers. And SO sweet! I love how they play so good together and are such good friends, they were attached at the hip and where ever Brigit was, Aislinn was close by. The thing I used to do with all of the kids was to scratch and rub their backs. I was very happy to see that they had not forgotten that! That was the other thing they were always lining up for and calling "next" for. Just want to say thanks for having us.......we miss you! Oh and as an added bonus, the day we flew in Uncle Tom, Auntie Linda, and Lisa just happened to be in town and came and said hello! It was go great catching up with them! Here are the photos of our trip.....just a warning, there is going to be a lot!

These pictures are from our visit at Mount Vernon. (For those of you like me and aren't quite sure where that is.....it is George Washington's estate). There was SO much history there, they have preserved it all and made a museum.

Look at how good those cute girls are sitting......and that one serious little boy! WOW

That is George Washington's mansion there in the back!

Easter Fun!

Tim trying to catch up on his sleep;)

again.......

and again!

These last few are of our visit to D.C. It was so amazing to see this all in person. It made me so thankful for everything other people have sacrificed to make our country so great!

Lincoln Memorial

The Viet Nam Memorial ......it was so surreal actually seeing the names of people that gave their lives for our country. The memorial letters and flowers from friends and family on the ground in front of the wall were so neat. Very cool experience!

The Washington Monument is the really tall building in between Tim and I....once again very serious Peyton!

This is the World War II Memorial, it was beautiful. Oh and down below is Mr. Albert Einstein.
